1. Who This Covers
This policy explains how Top Gs Tech (70 Cassandra Ave, Bedworth Park, Vereeniging, 1939, Gauteng) handles personal information collected through topgstech.co.za and in the course of providing repairs, pre-owned device sales, and trade-ins.
2. What We Collect
Through our quote, contact, trade-in, and newsletter forms, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, phone number, email address, and (for courier collection) your address. Quote and trade-in forms also collect details about your device and the problem or condition you describe.
3. Why We Collect It
To provide a repair quote or trade-in valuation, arrange courier collection and delivery, respond to enquiries, send repair/trade-in status updates by email or WhatsApp, and - only if you sign up separately - send newsletter updates about deals and new stock.
4. Who We Share It With
We don't sell your information. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf, only for the purpose stated:
- Google Analytics - anonymised website usage statistics.
- Our email provider - to send you repair/trade-in status emails.
- Twilio (WhatsApp Business API) - to send you repair/trade-in status messages on WhatsApp.
We don't currently use Meta/Facebook Pixel or any advertising tracker on this site.
5. Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage. This site does not currently show a cookie-consent banner.
Needs a decision
Whether to add a cookie-consent banner (and what it should say) is a decision the business should make - flagging it here rather than silently adding one, since it changes what visitors see on every page.
6. How Long We Keep It

A real data-retention period (how long quote/contact/trade-in records are kept before deletion) hasn't been decided yet - this needs your input rather than an invented number.
7. Your Rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at info@topgstech.co.za to make a request.
8. Information Officer

POPIA requires a business to designate an Information Officer and register them with the Information Regulator. Who holds this role at Top Gs Tech needs to be confirmed before this section can name them.
